September 13th, 2012
Caipirinha, Caipirna, Caprinha

Brazil’s national drink, called caipirinha, is a mix of cachaça (sugar cane rum), sugar and lime.

Caipirinha is Brazil’s national cocktail. It’s a simple mix of cachaça, sugar and lime that may remind you of a really sweet margarita. It an incredible drink, a must try, and so I’ve set out on a mission to find the best Caipirinha in Los Angeles.

Below I’ve gathered a list of places that serve caipirinhas in Los Angeles.

Where to go in Brazil

August 25th, 2010

A lot of people have heWhere to go in Brazilard of cities like Rio De Janeiro, and maybe even Sao Paulo. When it comes to a country with the longest continuous coastline in the world you can just imagine how many hidden gems you might find.

Florianopolis is the place to be. Affluent Brazilians and in-the-know internationals flood the dozens of white-sand beaches that make up much of this city.

Part of  city is actually an island (Ilha de Santa Catarina) and is known throughout Brazil for it’s miles and miles of gorgeous beaches, excellent seafood, and traditional Azorean fishing villages.

The city has a great nightlife in the summer times (January through March), and is also occasionally the host for the world championship tour of surf.

The locals are extremely friendly, and due to the affluence in the area a lot of them even speak English.

Best of all it has an international airport, plenty of nice hotels and restaurants.
